Alastair Aiken (born November 6, 1993 (1993-11-06) [age 30]), also known as Ali-A, is a British YouTube personality, friend and occasional collaborator with the Sidemen group.

Ali has recently become an internet meme, with people making fun of his Fornite addiction and young audience.

Background[]

Aiken currently has over 13 million subscribers on his main channel and over 4 million on his second channel. He lives in London and often meets up with the Sidemen at gaming events such as Insomnia and GamesCon.

For a long period of time, Ali-A (alongside KSI and TheSyndicateProject) was considered the biggest British YouTuber of this generation. He made semi-regular appearances on commercial television shows such as The Gadget Show, in which he tested multiple video games consoles and gave his opinions.

He participated in the 2015 Legends of Gaming competition alongside Harry and Deji, and ended up winning in the final round against TWiiNSANE.

He holds two Guinness World Records for having the most subscribed and most viewed Call of Duty channel in the world, with 7.4 million subscribers and over 1 billion views on all of his videos.

  • Ali's fans have noted the similarities (likeness-wise) between him and electronic dance music producer Zedd, and he has joked about it when it is brought to his attention, saying that he hears it frequently. The two have had playful conversations about their similarities on Twitter, with Ali jokingly referring to Zedd as his "long-lost twin". Ali has actually gotten the chance to meet Zedd in real life, which he described as "two worlds colliding".
